We’re excited to bring big email improvements to Sensei LMS and Sensei Pro. And also unveil the new Sensei Showcase, where you can share your courses with the world.

Better Emails
First up, let’s talk about the new and improved email notifications. We know that communication with your students is crucial to a successful learning experience, and that’s why we’ve put a lot of effort into making these notifications as informative and user-friendly as possible.
You’ll now be able to fully customize the content of the emails that get sent out, including adding your own logo and branding. Plus, we’ve made sure that the emails are mobile-responsive, so your students can easily access them on any device.
Old and existing emails have been updated to the new and modern template.
And there is a new ‘Welcome’ email that is sent to students when they first enroll in a course.
‘Win-Back’ Reminder Emails
As course creators, we are always looking for ways to improve the course completion rates for our students.
With this update, Sensei Pro users can now send automated (and fully customizable) reminder emails to students that haven’t made any course progress in 3, 7, and 28 days.
It can be good to send a little guilt-trip message to learners or remind them about what they will be missing out on to encourage them to complete the course.
More Email Improvements
The entire email notification system has been overhauled. Check out Sensei LMS > Settings > Emails to see it all.
- Customize the ‘reply-to’ email address of notifications
- Reply directly to emails sent from Sensei’s private messaging tool
- Fully customize emails with images and text
- Edit email subject lines
- Bulk enable and disable email notifications
Be on the lookout for better Sensei integration with AutomateWoo and MailPoet for even more email tools in the near future (including being able to send emails in bulk to all students in a course or group).
Introducing The Sensei Showcase
We have also rolled out a new Sensei Showcase to highlight all of the great courses that creators have built with Sensei.
Sensei Pro subscribers can submit their courses to be included in the showcase right inside the plugin. Just visit Sensei LMS > Courses and look for a Promote link on eligible courses.
To be eligible for the Showcase, the course should:
- be built with Sensei Pro
- have been published for at least 30 days
- have at least 20 enrolled students
- be publicly available for signup (free or paid)
We will review submissions as quickly as we can to get them added.
We will also be helping to bring traffic to the Showcase through ads on WordPress.com and Tumblr, and also on our website and emails that we send out. We hope that the Showcase can help provide you with new students and exposure.
