Sensei LMS has native functionality that enables you to export courses, lessons and Quiz questions. You can download Sensei course, lesson, and quiz questions as zipped CSV files. This is helpful when you are migrating from a test site to a production site: you can export course data from a staging site, for example, and then import it into your live site.
How to Export Sensei Content
As of Sensei LMS 4.26.0, you can also filter the export down to specific courses, lessons, or questions, so you export only the content you need.
1. To export content, go to Sensei LMS > Tools > Export Content.
For each type of content — Courses, Lessons, and Questions — choose what to include.
To export specific items instead of everything of that type, use the filter field beside it. Start typing a course, lesson, or question title and select the items you want. Leave a filter empty to export all items of that type.

2. When you are ready, click the Start Export button. Wait until the exporter is finished. Do not refresh or otherwise interfere with the browser while the export is in progress.
3. Once the export process has completed, you will see a confirmation page with the link to download the .zip file of the exported Sensei Content (in CSV format). You can also click Export More Content to export additional content.
Special note on Filters
When choosing specific Sensei content type to export, filters are applied independently to each type — filtering to a specific course does not automatically limit the lessons or questions you export.
To export a single course together with only its lessons and questions, set a filter on each type. At least one type must stay selected to start an export. This lets you extract just the content you need (for example, one course and its lessons) without editing the exported CSV files afterward. If you plan to import the result into another site, be sure to include any content that other items depend on, since dependent files must be imported together.
FAQ
Sensei LMS doesn’t have a built-in option to directly export user information. However, you can use the Reports feature to export analytics data. You can filter these reports based on Learners, Courses, and Lessons.
